MUSIC DIRECTOR
Director and choral pedagogue with extensive experience conducting children’s, youth, university, and professional choral groups. She completed her undergraduate studies as Master of Music with emphasis in Choral Conducting at the Universidad Autónoma from Bucaramanga and as Master of Music at the Simón Bolívar University in Venezuela under the tutelage of Maria Guinand.
She was an active member of the Schola Cantorum of Venezuela and the Cantoría Alberto Grau, prestigious groups with whom she toured internationally. She was the artistic director of the Youth Philharmonic Choir of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Bogota (2014-2019), an ensemble with which she reaped numerous artistic successes working alongside prestigious conductors. She has taught classes, workshops, and consultancies related to different areas of choral conducting.
She worked in the choral area of the Andes University where he had under his direction the Coro Uniandes, the Symphonic ChorusUniandes, and the Children’s and Youth Choirs of the Musical Training Program. In 2018, together with other directors from Bogota, he created CantArte “Colectivo de Músicos”, an association of professionals dedicated to developing musical projects of which the Ensemble Vocal 12 para las 8 is part.
Sara Josefina Catarine de Gómez
VOCAL ADVISOR
She is a singer pianist and teacher who graduated with a Doctorate Course in Vocal Performance from the Manhattan School of Music in New York and Master of Music – Opera from the University of The Arts in Philadelphia, USA. She has been directed by masters of the stature of Giuseppe Sinopoli, Patrick Summers, Theo Alcántara, Michal Nesterowicz, Gustavo Dudamel, and Josep Caballé. His repertoire includes masses and choral symphonies such as Requiem and Mass in C Minor by W. A. Mozart, Requiem by G. Verdi, the Stabat Mater by Rossini and Pergolesi; the Resurrection Symphonies, 4th and 8th by G. Mahler, Carmina Burana by C. Orff, among many others. Her operatic repertoire includes the title roles of Tosca and Madame by G. Puccini with the Teresa Carreño Opera of Venezuela and three North American tours with the San Francisco Opera and New York City Opera, USA, in the roles of Mimì in La Bohème by Puccini and Adele from Die Fledermaus by J. Strauss; zarzuela, Jazz and 20th-century music such as Luciano Berio’s “Oh, King”. With the Colombian Opera, she performed Marianne from Rosenkavalier by R. Strauss and Berta from Rossini’s Barbiere di Siviglia. In May 2023 she returned to the United States as a soloist in three recitals at the Piano on the Rocks International Festival, in Sedona, Arizona.
She has been a vocal advisor to the choirs Kolenu and Schola Cantorum of Venezuela, the Symphonic Choir Fundimusicol in Colombia, and is currently dedicated to the position of Vocal Advisor of the National Choir of Colombia.
Jeisson Germán Segura
ASSISTANT MUSICAL DIRECTOR
He holds a master’s degree in music with an emphasis in Orchestra Conducting and a minor in Choral Conducting from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Lucerne (Hochschule Luzern), Switzerland.
Musician Graduated from the Conservatory of Music of the National University of Colombia in the undergraduate courses of Conducting and Lyric Singing, Specialist in pedagogy from the National Pedagogical University of Colombia. Additionally, he studied conducting at the prestigious University of Music and Dramatic Art of Vienna (Austria) under the chair of Simeon Pironkov, and singing and choral conducting at the Conservatory of Music and Dance of Lyon in France.
In 2022 he was a semifinalist in the international competition of orchestra conducting of the University of Almeria (Spain), as well as a semifinalist in the international competition of orchestra conducting of the Brasov Philharmonic (Romania).
He has conducted orchestras, symphonic bands and choirs such as: Orchestre National of Lyon (France), Ensemble Ars Nova (France), Berlin Sinfonietta (Germany), Orchestre National of Almería University(Spain), Brasov Philharmonic Orchestra (Romania), Hochschule Luzern Orchestra (Switzerland), Pazhardik Symphony Orchestra (Bulgaria), Festival Strings Lucerne (Switzerland), Zentralschweizer Jugendsinfonieorchester (Switzerland), Orchestre Pro Arte MDW Vienna (Austria), Philharmonic Orchestre of Cali, National Symphonic Orchestra Colombia, Conservatory Orchestre of the Colombia National University, Nova Orchestra of the Conservatory of Music of the National University of Colombia, Symphonic Band of the Conservatory of Music of the National University of Colombia, Youth Philharmonic Band of the OFB (Colombia), Symphonic Band of FEMUSC (Brazil), Choir of the Hochschule Luzern (Switzerland), Choir of the Conservatoire Supérieur de Musique et Danse de Lyon (France), Symphonic Band Hochschule Luzern (Switzerland), Choir Sooregosler chörli Oberkirch (Switzerland), Symphonic Band INEM Kennedy (Colombia).
He was the winner of the scholarship of the Hadfy Foundation in Switzerland for a talented and promising music student of the Hochschule Luzern, and winner of the COLFUTURO scholarship program for his master studies.
He is currently assistant musical director of the National Choir of Colombia, professor of musical direction, and conductor of the symphony orchestra of the faculty of arts ASAB of the “Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas” in Bogotá.
Miguel Leonardo
Pinzón
PIANIST
Born in the city of Bogotá, Miguel Pinzón is a Colombian pianist and composer who stands out for his versatility in various musical genres and for his experience as an accompanying pianist. In the latter field, he has more than 10 years of experience collaborating in some of the most important universities in the country, and in various national and international festivals. . In 2014 he was the winner of the composition competition organized by the Manolov Quartet with his work “Quartet for Strings, No. I”. He served for three consecutive years as one of the Organists of the Catedral Primada of Bogotá. Subsequently, he held the position of piano accompanist in the Youth Philharmonic Choir of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Bogota, and 2022, he was the winner of the Singing Award Ciudad Lyrical in the category “Accompanying Pianist”, awarded by the District Program of Incentives for Culture.
At the same time, he worked as an accompanying pianist in the master’s program in Performance and Pedagogy at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. Currently, he is a professor in the music studies program at the Universidad Central and a repeating pianist for the National Choir of Colombia.

Colombiana, Magíster en Gestión Cultural y Licenciada en Música con énfasis en canto.
Se formó en la Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, España y en la Universidad pedagógica Nacional de Bogotá, Colombia. She was the artistic coordinator of the Opera of Colombia, together with the renowned cultural manager Gloria Zea.
Since 2021 she has worked as general producer of “La Compañía Estable” foundation, together with the renowned Colombian director, Pedro Salazar, with whom she has managed to position the Company as one of the most outstanding in the national and international cultural sectors in large-scale theater and opera performances.
As a cultural manager, she was entrusted with the creation of the National Choir of Colombia in 2023 by the National Association of Symphonic Music, where she currently serves as general coordinator of the project.
